Aston Villa will entertain Zrinjski at Villa Park this Thursday night as they look to earn a good result in the UEFA Europa Conference League. The Villans managed to earn a dominant 6-1 win over Brighton and Hove Albion recently which will give them a lot of confidence ahead of this game.
Unai Emery will opt for a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make a lot of changes to his first XI for this game. Jhon Duran will get the nod to lead the line for the West Midlands club in the final third.
4-2-3-1 Aston Villa Predicted Lineup To Face Zrinjski
Defence
Robin Olsen will function in goal for the Villans as he looks to secure a clean sheet at Villa Park. Clement Lenglet will play alongside Ezri Konsa at the centre of Emery’s defence as they try to keep things solid at the back during the 90 minutes.
Matty Cash will try to catch the eye as the right-back while Lucas Digne fills in on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will get the license to get forward and express themselves in the Zrinjski half.
Pau Torres will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Youri Tielemans and Boubacar Kamara will anchor the midfield for Aston Villa as they focus on establishing their dominance over the opposition at the centre of the park.
The gifted trio of Nicolo Zaniolo, Jacob Ramsey and John McGinn will function just ahead of them as part of Emery’s attack. All three of them need to move the ball well in the final third if the Villans are to create enough chances to win this contest.
Douglas Luiz and Moussa Diaby will be available for selection on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
Jhon Duran will lead the charge for Aston Villa up top. He would be eager to impress while Emery hands Ollie Watkins a well-deserved rest on the bench.
