Jose Mourinho has confirmed he will make a number of changes in Manchester United’s EFL Cup match against Hull City. The Red Devils are scheduled to Face Hull on 11th January in the EFL Cup semifinal.
United defeated Reading 4-0 in the FA Cup third round match with goals from Wayne Rooney, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford scoring a brace.
Mourinho made nine changes and handed a rare start to Rooney and Rashford. Rooney equalled sir Bobby Charlton’s record of 249 goals and is one goal shy of becoming United’s all-time top scorer.
Macus Rashford and Anthony Martial proved their credentials as United comfortably marched on to the next round of the FA Cup.
Despite a great performance Mourinho is expected to make number of changes and will bring Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba in the starting lineup.
Mourinho said, “I played with fresh players, I don’t want to put things in first team or second, first choice or second choice,’ Mourinho said after Saturday’s match.
“In the next match against Hull I’m going to play again with fresh players so it’s easy to know our team – it’s Zlatan, it’s Pogba, it’s Herrera, it’s Valencia, the guys who didn’t play today”
