Liverpool are set to offer midfielder Adam Lallana a new contract to fend off interests from other clubs. Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly plotting a move for the player.
The midfielder is currently earning a £60,000 a week and set to receive a massive pay hike to almost double to his current salary. His new wage will make him at par with James Milner and Daniel Sturridge.
Liverpool signed the midfielder from Southampton in 2014 for a reported fee of £25m.
Since then specifically, this season the midfielder has been excelled in a deeper central midfield role and has added eight goals in his tally this season.
Mauricio Pochettino wants a reunion with one of his trusted players. With Dele Alli linked with a number of clubs, the Spurs manager is very willing to bring the player to White Hart Lane.
But the England international has two years left on his contract and the Merseyside club are trying to do everything possible to keep him at the club.
