Antonio Conte is hoping that he can continue coaching for another ten years. Conte was handed the task to manage Chelsea at the start of this season.
Conte has guided Chelsea to the top of the Premier League this season. The Italian’s decision to play with a three-man defence proved to be a major key factor behind Chelsea’s resurgence this season.
The Italian who is known to be one of the best tacticians started his coaching career in 2006. Conte managed a number of clubs but his name first hogged the limelight when he won three consecutive Scudetto with Juventus. Conte also fired the Italy national team to the Euro Pre-quarters with a pretty ordinary team.
Italy topped their group after the initial stage, the first time in a major tournament since the 2006 World Cup.
On being asked if he wants to follow Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger the 47-year-old said, “You are talking about two monsters, two great managers.
“They are a big example for me. I hope to have, not completely their career, but 10 years, yes. It’s enough for me.
“Twenty more years? Now I’m 47. I prefer that my wife doesn’t listen to this…
“This is our life. Football is our life, with this pressure, with all.
“In the moment that football is not in our life, I think probably we die.”
