Chelsea will entertain Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge this Saturday as they look to pick up maximum points from this home game in the Premier League. The Blues earned a hard-fought 2-1 win over Wimbledon in the EFL Cup recently which will keep them in high spirits ahead of this contest.
Mauricio Pochettino will opt for a 3-4-2-1 formation once again and could name a strong first team for this game. Raheem Sterling and Nicolas Jackson were both rested in midweek and would be expected to play from the start of this clash in West London.
3-4-2-1 Chelsea Predicted Lineup To Face Nottingham Forest
Defence
Robert Sanchez will function in between the sticks for the Blues after securing a clean sheet in midweek. Axel Disasi, Thiago Silva and Levi Colwill will make up Chelsea’s back three as they try to keep the Nottingham attackers at bay during the game.
Bashir Humphreys will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Conor Gallagher and Moises Caicedo will play as the holding midfielders as they try to dictate the tempo of the game at the centre of the park.
Ben Chilwell will fill in as the left-sided wide player while Malo Gusto looks to catch the eye as the right wing-back. Both of them will be given the freedom to make some overlapping runs out on the flanks.
Enzo Fernandez and Raheem Sterling will operate as the free-flowing, attacking midfielders as they try to make a difference for the Blues in the final third.
Noni Madueke and Ian Maatsen will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to impress in the second half if required.
Attack
Nicolas Jackson will once again spearhead Chelsea’s attack on his own up top. He managed to find the back of the net versus Luton Town recently which will give him some confidence going into this clash at Stamford Bridge.
