Leicester City have experienced a drastic fall from grace this season. Well, they weren’t expected to hold onto their Premier League crown this season after shockingly winning it in the last campaign but Leicester finds themselves almost in the relegation scrap, which wasn’t expected either. We expect the Foxes to be quite active in the January transfer window considering how poor their season has been. In fact, their shopping has already begun as they completed the signing of Wilfred Ndidi but few more signings could follow.
So, how likely are Leicester to land their targets?
Robbie Brady- 8/10
From playing in the Championship to move to a club who are still in the Champions League and are defending the Premier League crown, this could be too much of a temptation for Robbie Brady who is linked heavily with the Foxes. The 24-year-old would be a quality addition to the club thanks to his versatility.
He can play anywhere on the left flank, be it as a full-back or an advanced winger. He is a brilliant crosser, something Islam Slimani could cherish. This seems like a very likely deal.
Francesco Acerbi- 7/10
Well, this one also seems very very likely. The experienced Italian defender could bring a lot to shore up Leicester City’s underperforming porous defence. He is right now at Sassuolo and Leicester City would be a step up for him both financially and from the footballing angle too.
The temptation of playing in the Premier League is something every player has and that gives Leicester a big upper hand in their pursuit of Acerbi. On top that, he will be guaranteed starter at the back for the Foxes as Wes Morgan and Robert Huth are in their 30s. This one should happen anytime soon and is a much-needed long-term transfer.
Steven N’Zonzi- 2/10
TalkSPORT claims that Leicester City are among the clubs holding a strong interest in Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi but this one is very unlikely. Why would N’Zonzi move to Leicester City from Sevilla?
He is one of the best in Europe in his position right now and there are clubs like Juventus, Manchester City and Chelsea who are after him. N’Zonzi has upped his game in the last couple of years and you can only see him moving to a bigger club from Sevilla. N’Didi has already been signed, so Leicester won’t mind losing out on him.
