In a recent report, The Guardian stated that Arsenal are keeping tabs on Red Bull Salzburg youngster Oscar Gloukh. It has been revealed that the Gunners could face competition in the form of Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Barcelona and Villarreal in the race to land the Israel international during this summer transfer window.
Gloukh’s Impressive Rise At Salzburg
Gloukh managed to catch the eye with his performances at RB Salzburg in the previous campaign as he put in a few productive displays for them in the final third. The 19-year-old found the back of the net on two occasions and picked up two assists in 17 matches for the German club last season across all fronts.
The Rehovot-born talent has shown glimpses of what he can do in Austrian football. However, he is still quite inexperienced at the highest level.
His current contract at the Austrian club will run out in the summer of 2027. Thus, it won’t be easy for the Gunners to win the race for his services in this off-season.
Arsenal Are Keeping Tabs On Gloukh: Is He A Prospect For The Future?
Gloukh can engineer a yard of space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal. The Israel international is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet and can create some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third when he is playing with confidence on the field. However, there are some concerns over whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of Premier League football.
Gloukh is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also operate as a box-to-box midfielder if told to do so. He would give Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta more options on the attacking end of the field.
Gloukh is already good enough to serve as a sporadic presence in the North London club’s squad. At 19, he has the potential to become a world-class player in his position someday. There is no denying that Gloukh is a prospect to watch out for in the future, so the Gunners will do well to snap him up before the end of this summer transfer window.
