In a recent tweet, renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano offered an update on Arsenal and their pursuit of Chelsea playmaker Kai Havertz. It has been claimed that the German talent wants to play for the Gunners in the future.

Havertz’s Tough Campaign In The Premier League
Havertz experienced a difficult season at Chelsea recently after failing to help the London club be consistent in the Premier League. However, the German attacker deserves some credit for scoring nine goals and registering one assist in 47 matches for the Blues during this campaign across all fronts.
The 24-year-old caught the eye at times with his performances on the attacking end of the field as he averaged 1.0 tackles, 1.1 clearances, 2.0 shots, 1.1 key passes and 0.5 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He was even careful when distributing possession in the opposition half based on his pass success rate of 82.4% in the top tier of English football (stats via whoscored).
Havertz is under contract at Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2025. Therefore, the Gunners will have to make a sizable offer if they want to lure him to the Emirates Stadium later this year.
Should Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta Snap Havertz Up This Summer?
Havertz is proficient at finding space for himself and has got the technical qualities to keep possession moving in tight spaces in the opponent’s half. He has got the vision to engineer a few decent chances for his teammates in the final third and is a good dribbler with the ball.
However, the German talent has to find a way to be more ruthless in front of the opponent’s goal. Still, there is no denying that the pros outweigh the cons of recruiting him.
Havertz will add more firepower to Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta’s frontline. He is good enough to offer some serious competition for Martin Odegaard at the North London club in the coming seasons. Hence, the Gunners would be wise to snap Havertz up during this summer transfer period.
