In a recent tweet, journalist Florian Plettenberg revealed that Arsenal are confident about recruiting Chelsea attacker Kai Havertz this summer. It has been stated that the Gunners are hoping to finalise a move to sign the German international during this summer transfer window.

Havertz’s Lack Of Productivity In English Football
Havertz had a difficult campaign at Chelsea recently as he struggled to help them be consistent in the Premier League over the past 12 months. The German attacker found the back of the net nine times and grabbed one assist in 47 matches for the Blues this season in multiple competitions.
The 24-year-old struggled to be productive in front of the opponent’s goal but did well to average 1.0 tackles, 1.1 clearances, 2.0 shots, 1.1 key passes and 0.5 dribbles per game in the Premier League. He has even been accurate when distributing possession in the final third after making 82.4% of his attempted passes in the English top tier (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the West London club will run out in the summer of 2025. Hence, it won’t be easy for the Gunners to land Havertz on the cheap in this off-season.
Should Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta Get Havertz On Board?
Havertz is a technically gifted forward who can make some clever runs with the ball in and around the opponent’s penalty box. He can even create some decent chances for his teammates in the final third and can shoot the ball with power from long range. The German is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also play as a right-winger or as a centre-forward up top if needed.
We can expect Havertz to bring more depth to Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta’s match-day squad. He might help the Gunners sustain another title charge in the Premier League and also compete for a major trophy or two next season.
At 24, Havertz has got his best years ahead of him which makes him a decent option for the North London club to consider this summer. He will only get better in the coming seasons as long as Arteta is willing to play him regularly in the coming seasons. With all things considered, Arsenal should think about getting Havertz on board before the start of the new campaign.
