Rangers will clash heads with St. Mirren at the SMISA Stadium on Saturday afternoon as they try to secure a win on the road in the Scottish Premiership. The Gers were held to a 2-2 draw by Hearts of Midlothian recently, so they would be eager to get back to winning ways in the league this weekend.
Michael Beale will stick with his favoured 4-3-1-2 formation and is expected to keep changes to a minimum for this game. Hence, Alfredo Morelos and Fashion Sakala will once again lead the charge for Rangers in the final third.
4-3-1-2 Rangers Predicted Lineup To Face St. Mirren
Defence
Allan McGregor will operate in between the sticks for the visitors after conceding a couple of goals in his last outing. Leon King will once again play alongside John Souttar at the heart of Beale’s defence as they try to keep the opposition at bay during the 90 minutes.
James Tavernier will once again play as the right-back while Ridvan Yilmaz hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will get the license to express themselves in the opponent’s half so that they can engineer some decent chances from the wide areas.
Ben Davies will definitely miss this game because of injury. However, Borna Barisic should be available for a place on the bench as he provides cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Beale will once again name a midfield comprised of Glen Kamara, Nicolas Raskin and John Lundstram as they try to dictate the tempo of the game and orchestrate enough chances for Ranges to win this clash.
Todd Cantwell will function just ahead of them as a free-flowing, attacking midfielder and is expected to carry most of the creative burden for the visitors in the final third.
Ryan Jack will have to be content with a place on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the final quarter of the game if required.
Attack
Fashion Sakala and Alfredo Morelos will spearhead Rangers’ attack up top. Both of them would be eager to get their names on the scoresheet in this final league match of this campaign.
Rabbi Matondo will be named on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if Beale decides to call upon his services.
