Zlatan Ibrahimović has claimed his recent form has made his critics ‘eat their balls.’ Since his arrival from Paris Saint-Germain, the Swede has been in top form scoring 18 goals so far.
There has been concern regarding his form at the age of 35. But the striker has silenced his critics by netting 13 goals in the Premier League in his debut season. Mourinho has been using the forward regularly at the expense of Wayne Rooney and Marcus Rashford.
Juan Mata and Zlatan were on target as United won their sixth consecutive match in the Premier League by defeating West Ham United. With each day passing, the 35-year-old has been getting only better and the Red Devils are expected to extend his contract for another year.
Ibrahimović said, “It gives me a lot of energy, trust me
“A lot of energy, because they get paid to talk s— and I get paid to play with my feet — that’s how I enjoy it.
“I had a fantastic year. At PSG it was amazing, and I came to United and my first six months here have been more than amazing.
“I came to the Premier League and everyone thought it would not be possible but, like always, I make them eat their balls.
“I’m super-happy and I feel good. I don’t know how many years I have left, but I’m enjoying the football.”
