Arsenal are monitoring Miralem Pjanic’s position and could make a move for the Juventus midfielder in the coming days.
Arsene Wenger has been exploring options in the transfer market as Santi Cazorla has been ruled out for the remainder of the season. It is reported that Wenger himself had called the midfielder to enquire his availability.
Pjanic moved to Turin in last summer from Roma in a deal around £25m. The North Londoners will reportedly try to tempt Juventus with a £28m offer for the player. Juventus recently lost in their pursuit of Axel Witsel as the Belgian is on the verge of a move to Chinese side Tianjin Quanjian.
Pjanic had been linked with a number of clubs earlier. Cazorla, 32, had been a constant presence in the Arsenal midfield before he sustained an injury. Pjanic could be the ideal replacement for the midfielder but the Gunners have to quote a handsome fee to lure the player to England.
