Real Madrid will face off against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this Tuesday night as they hope to secure a good result on the road in the UEFA Champions League. Los Blancos managed to earn a 2-0 win over Cadiz and will have a two-goal lead to protect against the Blues in midweek. Hence, they will be full of confidence ahead of this European showdown in West London.
Carlo Ancelotti will set his side up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to name a strong first XI for this game. Vinicius Junior will play from the start of this contest while Marco Asensio drops to the bench.
4-3-3 Real Madrid Predicted Lineup To Face Chelsea
Defence
Thibaut Courtois will operate in between the sticks for the Madrid outfit after securing a clean sheet against Cadiz recently. Eder Militao will resume his defensive partnership with David Alaba at the heart of Real Madrid’s backline as they try to keep the Chelsea attackers at bay throughout the 90 minutes.
Dani Carvajal will fill in as the right-back while Eduardo Camavinga hopes to impress as a makeshift left-back. Both of them would be eager to catch the eye out on the flanks in this midweek clash at Stamford Bridge.
Nacho will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Toni Kroos, Federico Valverde and Luka Modric will make up Real Madrid’s midfield as they try to establish their dominance over the opposition at the centre of the park.
Aurelien Tchoaumeni and Dani Ceballos will have to settle for a place on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
Vinicius Jr. will function as the left-sided wide player while Rodrygo hopes to impress as the right-winger. Karim Benzema will once again spearhead Los Blancos’ attack on his own up top. The French forward has to figure out a way to threaten the Chelsea goal in midweek.
Marco Asensio and Eden Hazard will be named on the bench as they wait for their chance to influence the game in the final quarter if Ancelotti opts to call upon their services.
