Kylian Mbappe On The Issue With PSG
In his criticism of the club, the 24-year-old forward stated that PSG is not “Kylian Saint Germain.” Mbappe provided a voiceover for the promotional video via the interview that he conducted at the stadium.
Mbappe has stated that he was not informed about the content of the interview and that it was presented to him as a basic interview during a club marketing day. The French forward claims that he was not aware of what the interview would be used for, and therefore, he disagrees with the video that was posted.
What Was Paris Saint Germain’s Comment On Kylian Mbappe’s Criticism?
In an Instagram story, Mbappe stated that PSG is a big club and a big family, but it is not Kylian Saint-Germain. He emphasized that he fights for individual image rights, a concern that he has raised before with the France national team. In March 2022, he led a boycott of certain commercial activities by players who did not want to be associated with certain sectors, such as gambling websites and fast-food chains.
Kylian Mbappe’s control over his image rights was also part of Real Madrid’s offer to sign him last year, as they attempted to lure him away from PSG. In May 2022, Mbappe committed to PSG for three more years.PSG has not yet commented on the matter, and the club’s next match is against Nice on April 8.
