Manchester United are reportedly lining up a bid for Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane. If rumours are to be believed the Red Devils are willing to shell out a mind-boggling £80m for the England international.
The 23-year-old has scored 12 in 17 games for Spurs this season and 59 goals in 100 league matches in total. He will look to surpass his own previous season’s number which earned him the Golden Boot last term.
United signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic in this summer and the 35-year-old has been on a scoring spree since his arrival with 12 goals in the Premier League this season. United will likely to trigger his one-year extension clause in the contract but Mourinho is looking for a long term replacement. Wayne Rooney has passed his prime and the 31-year-old has been struggling with injuries and form.
Kane recently signed a contract with Spurs and a move in January is very unlikely. He’d be the ideal signing if they can manage to get him.
