Leeds United will welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to Elland Road on Saturday as they hope to grind out a good result in this home encounter. The Whites come into the match on the back of a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Chelsea, so they will need to bounce back and perform better in order to stay away from the relegation zone.
Jesse Marsch will probably opt for a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to keep the changes to a minimum for this contest. We can expect to see Georgino Rutter leading the line down the middle while Illan Meslier continues in goal for his side.
4-2-3-1 Leeds United Predicted XI Vs Brighton
Defence
As mentioned above, Illan Meslier will function in goal for the Whites after conceding a goal in his last outing against the Blues. Robin Koch will function alongside Maximilian Wober at the heart of the Leeds backline as they focus on keeping the opposition attackers at bay throughout the game.
Luke Ayling will continue to impress as the right-back while Junior Firpo looks to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them would have to perform their defensive duties well if Leeds are to stand a chance of claiming something from this contest at home.
Pascal Struijk and Rasmus Kristensen will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench while Liam Cooper remains sidelined due to injury.
Midfield
Tyler Adams and Weston McKennie will anchor the midfield for the Whites as they try to make life difficult for the away team at the centre of the park. Both of them will need to work hard on protecting their backline and will also need to move the ball well if they want to create some chances for their teammates on the counter.
Marc Roca will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second half if required.
Attack
Jack Harrison could get another chance to impress as the left-sided wide player while Crysencio Summerville looks to put in an influential display on the right. Brendon Aaronson will continue to play as the advanced attacking midfield being part of Marsch’s attack up front.
As mentioned earlier, Georginio Rutter will continue to lead the charge for the Whites up top. He has to find a way to cause a few problems for the opposition centre-backs this Saturday.
Sonny Perkins and Patrick Bamford will be named on the bench as they wait for their chance to influence the game in the latter stages of the game if Leeds are in need of a goal by then.
