Liverpool welcomed Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield earlier tonight as they focused on collecting maximum points at home in the Premier League. The Reds made a slow start to the game and were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time interval.
The Merseyside club finally managed to make the opening breakthrough in the 73rd minute when Virgil Van Dijk scored a solid header from close range. Mohamed Salah doubled Liverpool’s advantage just four minutes later as the Reds ended up securing an impressive 2-0 win in front of the Kop.

He didn’t do much wrong at the back and had a few bright moments in the Wolves half. He picked up an assist for setting up Salah’s goal.
CM: Harvey Elliott – 7/10
Elliott worked hard at both ends of the field but failed to take any of his chances.
CM: Fabinho – 7/10
The Brazilian talent anchored the midfield with conviction but offered very little going forward.
CM: Stefan Bajcetic – 6.5/10
Bajcetic caught the eye at times and came back to defend when his teammates needed him. He was replaced in the 78th minute.
RW: Mohamed Salah – 7.5/10
The Egyptian winger made a couple of dangerous runs with the ball and scored Liverpool’s second goal with a good finish.

Jota was always willing to get on the ball and make things happen. He ended the game with an assist to his name.

He made a quiet start to the game but came alive in the second half. Nunez completed some encouraging dribbles on the left wing and engineered some inviting chances for others around him.
