Chelsea overcame a minor hiccup to continue their victory run as they stretched their winning streak to 13 games. Ultimately it was not a case of unlucky 13 for the London Blues as they ended with a glossed up scoreline of 4-2 against a Stoke outfit who will be relieved that they have got the fixtures against Liverpool and Chelsea aside and now can focus on more winnable matches.
An exceptionally entertaining second half witnessed five goals as the Blues were twice made to retake the lead by a Potters side who gave them one of their toughest tests this season.
Let us take a look at how the Chelsea players performed in their record-equaling feat of the 13th consecutive victory in a single season of a Premier League.
The Best And Worst Chelsea Players Rated From Their Thrilling Win Over Stoke City.
COURTOIS- 6.5/10
Conceded 2 goals after ages. Was partially at fault for Crouch’s goal but overall had a decent game as far as his individual performance is concerned.
AZPILICUETA- 7/10
Carries on in an eerily consistent and efficient manner. Once again was strong and assertive in his tackling. A very good reader of the game and demonstrated it once again.
LUIZ- 6.5/10
Part of a backline which shipped 2 but overall was good. Made a couple of vital covering challenges in the opening 45 minutes and his play with the ball was impressive.
CAHILL- 6/10
Scored a goal but was probably the weakest of the 3 at the back today. Should have done more to prevent Diouf’s goal.
MOSES- 6/10
Fighting display down the right-hand side but as usual, his final delivery was severely lacking with only on evading Pieters. Needs to brush up on his final ball otherwise an asset.
KANTE- 6.5/10
Comfortable return as he slotted in seamlessly. Was his usual efficient and simple self while being deceptively snappy in tackles.
