Manchester United will take on Leicester City as they welcome them to Old Trafford on Sunday to take all three points from this home encounter. The Red Devils come into the match on the back of a 2-2 stalemate with Barcelona in the Europa League, so they will be looking to produce a better result.
Erik ten Hag will set his side up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and could make a few changes to his first XI for this game. Both Marcel Sabitzer and Lisandro Martinez will return to the match-day squad while Scott McTominay pushes for a starting place after recovering from a muscular problem.
4-2-3-1 Manchester United Predicted XI Vs Leicester City
Defence
David de Gea will function in between the sticks for the Mancunian outfit hoping to secure a clean sheet this weekend. Raphael Varane will operate alongside Lisandro Martinez at the heart of Man United’s backline as they look to keep the Foxes at bay throughout the game.
Diogo Dalot will play as the right-back while Luke Shaw hopes to produce an energetic performance as the left-back. Both of them will get the license to get forward and join in on the attack out on the wide areas.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Tyrell Malacia will take a spot on the bench to provide cover for the full-back positions.
Midfield
Marcel Sabitzer and Casemiro will function as the holding midfielders as they look to dominate the game at the centre of the park and orchestrate some clear-cut chances in the final third.
Scott McTominay will be available for selection on the bench as he waits for a chance to shine as the impact substitute in the second half if needed.
Attack
Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Jadon Sancho will operate just ahead of them as part of ten Hag’s attack. Rashford will have to carry most of the goal-scoring workload for Man United in the final third while Fernandes acts as ten Hag’s primary playmaker.
Wout Weghorst will spearhead Man United’s attack in the final third. He will be expected to work hard and produce a good performance for the Red Devils up top.
Anthony Martial and Antony are doubtful for this contest, so ten Hag’s attacking options on the bench will be limited to Alejandro Garnacho.
