Arsenal will clash heads with Aston Villa at Villa Park this Saturday afternoon as they look to bounce back by picking up a positive result on the road. The Gunners suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Manchester City earlier this week. Hence, they would be eager to put in a much-improved display versus the Villans.
Mikel Arteta will opt for a 4-3-3 formation and could make one change to his first XI for this game. Ben White will probably get a chance to play from the start while Takehiro Tomiyasu drops to the bench.
4-3-3 Arsenal Predicted Lineup To Face Aston Villa
Defence
Aaron Ramsdale will function in goal for the Gunners after shipping in three goals versus Man City in his last league outing. William Saliba will resume his defensive partnership with Gabriel at the centre of the Arsenal backline as they look to maintain a good defensive shape at the back during the 90 minutes.
Ben White will feature as the right-back while Oleksandr Zinchenko hopes to give a good account of himself as the left-back. Both of them could get the license to get forward and create some decent chances from the wide areas.
Takehiro Tomiyasu and Rob Holding will have to be content with a spot on the bench as they offer cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Granit Xhaka, Jorginho and Martin Odegaard will make up Arsenal’s midfield as they try to dictate the flow of the game and engineer some inviting chances for their teammates in the final third.
Thomas Partey is a major doubt for this game as he continues to recover from an injury. However, Fabio Vieira will be named on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required.
Attack
Gabriel Martinelli will hope to make a real difference from the left flank while Buyako Saka looks to threaten the opposition goal while acting as the right-sided wide player.
Eddie Nketiah will lead the charge for the North London club on the offensive end of the pitch. He failed to score versus Man City and would be eager to put in a better display at Villa Park this weekend.
Leandro Trossard will have to settle for a spot on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the final quarter of the game if Arsenal are in need of a goal by then.
