Ragnar Klavan is not worried about Sergio Aguero’s return when Liverpool will face Manchester City on New Year’s Eve. Aguero will be returning to the side after serving a four-match suspension.
Aguero was banned by FA for a two-footed lunge on David Luiz when Chelsea defeated Manchester City 3-1 in the Premier League. This is the Argentine’s second offence after he got a similar punishment for elbowing Winston Reid of West Ham United earlier.
Klavan is expected to hold his position in the heart of Liverpool defence as Matip has been ruled out due to an injury. Liverpool’s defence will have to be wary to keep Aguero quiet. If City somehow defeat Liverpool they will leapfrog the Reds to second place.
Klavan said, “You don’t change the way you approach the game but of course you have to know what kind of striker you are up against.
“It’s a big difference if it’s Peter Crouch or Aguero. You are a little bit tuned in to that, but not too much.”
