Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso has expressed his interest to spend the rest of the life in Madrid after finishing his career.
Alonso arrived from Fiorentina this summer and has been pretty good for the Blues who sits at the top of the Premier League table. Alonso has been shining in his new left wing back role as Antonio Conte has shifted to a more attacking 3-4-3 formation.
The 26-year old has played in 13 games this season and has racked up one goal alongside assisting on two occasions. Alonso had a five-month loan spell with Sunderland and a win against Crystal Palace would be his 15th win in a row in the Premier League.
He said, “My home city is Madrid and when I finish playing football that’s where I will live, but there are some lovely places to go on holiday.
“Formentera, an island off Ibiza, is amazing.
“The Canary Islands, where you have good weather all year round, are great.
“I also like Santander, which is where my father is from.
“It’s a great city, it’s not very big but I really enjoy it when I go there.”
