Liverpool welcomed Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield earlier tonight as they looked to earn a good result at home in the FA Cup. The Reds made a poor start to the game and gifted Wolves’ their opening goal as Alisson Becker gave away the ball which led to Goncalo Guedes scoring with an easy finish in the 26th minute. However, Darwin Nunez equalised for Liverpool in the 45th minute with a controlled finish as both teams went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.
Mohamed Salah gave the home team the lead in the 52nd minute with a good strike. However, Hwang Hee-chan came off the bench and equalised for Wolves just 14 minutes later with a close-range finish. The contest ended with the Reds being held to a 2-2 draw at Merseyside.

Alisson made a nightmare mistake which led to Wolves scoring their first goal. However, he made amends and made a few decent stops at the bay to keep the scoreline down.

The English full-back was solid at the back and played a sublime cross to Nunez in the lead-up to Liverpool’s equaliser. He got replaced in the 84th minute.
CB: Joel Matip – 6/10
Matip gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field and was accurate with his passing.
CB: Ibrahima Konate – 6.5/10
He didn’t do much wrong at the back and was accurate with his passing.
LB: Andrew Robertson – 6.5/10
He worked his socks off at both ends of the field but had nothing to show for his efforts.
CM: Jordan Henderson – 6/10
The Liverpool captain failed to get a foothold in the game and produced a disappointing performance in midfield.
CM: Fabinho – 6/10
Fabinho won the ball back once but lacked quality on the ball.
CM: Thiago Alcantara – 7/10
The Spaniard got stuck in with plenty of tackles and was excellent with his passing as usual.
RW: Mohamed Salah – 7/10
Salah made two good chances in the final third and scored with a decent finish in the 52nd minute.
ST: Darwin Nunez – 7/10
His pace caused a lot of problems for the Wolves defenders. He scored with a great finish in the 45th minute.
LW: Cody Gakpo – 6.5/10
Gakpo was strong on the ball and showed some flashes of what he can do down the left flank. However, he failed to threaten the opponent’s goal.

Elliott worked hard to keep possession moving but lacked quality up top.
