Chelsea are reportedly planning to launch a bid for Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal. Antonio Conte is in hurry to add a midfielder to his side.
Chelsea are having a wonderful season and are right now six points clear of second-placed Liverpool in the Premier League. With doubts hovering over Cesc Fabregas’s future, Conte is very keen to bring the Chilean to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea had a couple of bids rejected for Radja Nainggolan as the midfielder decided to stay with Roma and even penned a new contract. Conte had earlier worked with Vidal during his stint with Juventus and knows the player’s capability. Should Chelsea sign him, his deployment in the midfield alongside N’Golo Kanté would be a treat to watch.
Vidal’s passing and defending ability is outstanding. He is a running engine who can roam around the whole pitch. With Joshua Kimmich and Renato Sanches in the ranks, there is a slight possibility that Bayern could let him leave for a high fee.
