Leeds Live has recently reported that Leeds United are targeting Noa Lang of Club Brugge in an attempt to bolster their attack in the final third. The Dutch winger, who was a part of the Nederlands in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, has caught the eye in the Belgium first division showing massive potential and the Whites are pushing forward to bring him aboard.
Lang’s Numbers For Club Brugge This Season
Lang has had a decent start to this campaign as he has produced a few influential displays in the attacking third. He hasn’t gone forth to establish himself as a regular yet but remains promising in doing so. This season, the Dutch forward has banged in two goals and created two assists over 14 appearances across all fronts, mostly coming off the bench as an impact substitute.
The 23-year-old remains reliable in the opponent’s half, averaging 0.9 shots, 0.9 key passes and 0.8 dribbles per game in the Jupiler Pro League. He has also been tidy with his ball distribution after completing 78.9% of his attempted passes in the Belgium top flight (stats via whoscored).
Should Marsch Bring Him To Leeds United In January?
Lang is an exceptional dribbler who can get out of tight situations with ease; he has the ability to create problems for his markers out in the wide areas and can also engineer some clear-cut chances in front of the goal. Furthermore, he is an adept passer of the ball as he can proficiently distribute possession in the final third.
At 23, the Dutch sensation has enough room to grow into a world-class player and he has shown to have immense potential to play at a high level. Jesse Marsch has done well to identify him as he can add more quality and bring more creativity to the Leeds attack.
However, the Belgium side would only sell in case they receive a good proposal, so the Whites would have to pay in the region of £26-£30 million if they wish to bring him to Elland Road in January. Considering the asking price, Leeds could very well negotiate their way into paying a decent amount that fits their budget; but not pushing forward for Lang could be a huge blow as they backed away from Cody Gakpo who has set the Eredivisie alight with his stellar performances. Marsch would be wise to make a lucrative offer and sign Lang in the upcoming transfer window.
