According to Jamie Redknapp, neither Philippe Coutinho nor Sadio Mane but Adam Lallana is the best player for Liverpool this season.
Lallana has seen his stock rise this season with some phenomenal performances. The 28-year old has been a key part of Jurgen Klopp’s plan this season and has seen a rise in his productivity compared to last season. Jurgen Klopp has adapted a 4-3-3 formation with Jordan Henderson acting as the shield in front the four defenders, while Lallana has been given a creative role.
Lallana’s performance has improved a lot and his performance statistics paint the picture. The England international has racked up 15 appearances this season and has netted six goals this term. His overall style of play hasn’t changed but the only change is that he is scoring goals.
Redknapp said, “Adam Lallana ticks all the boxes. His end product has improved — he is adding goals and assists to his game — and his work-rate is phenomenal.”
Liverpool are right now in third place on 37 points, just two points behind Manchester City, but will have the chance to climb up to second when they will take on Stoke City tonight.
