Arsenal clashed heads with Liverpool at the Emirates earlier tonight, hoping to pick up a positive result and retain their position at the top of the table. Gabriel Martinelli took everyone by surprise as he punished Liverpool’s mistake in the first minute of the game. Darwin Nunez equalised in the 34th minute; but, Bukayo Saka scored in the last minute of first-half’s added time to put the hosts back in the lead. Roberto Firmino’s clever run behind William Saliba led to Liverpool’s second goal of the game; however, Saka made no mistake in converting from the penalty spot after Diogo Jota fouled Gabriel Jesus inside the box.
Let’s look at how each Arsenal player fared during the clash against the Reds.
Arsenal Players Rated In Thrilling Win Vs Liverpool
Aaron Ramsdale 6/10
A decent performance from the former Bournemouth shot-stopper. Nothing spectacular though.
Ben White 7/10
A colossal performance from the right-back. No-nonsense defending throughout the match.
Gabriel 6.5/10
A poor attempt to receive the ball in front of the goal led to Darwin Nunez’s goal.
William Saliba 6.5/10
He could have done better to track Roberto Firmino’s run that led to Liverpool’s second goal.

Quiet throughout the game. Made no mistake whatsoever.

A great defensive performance from the Ghana international. He made some nice tackles and clearances to make things easier for his team.

Punished Liverpool’s mistake in the first minute of the match by slotting the ball past Alisson. He also set up Bukayo Saka’s first goal of the game.

Could work his way through the tightest of spaces and was very lively in an around the penalty area.
