Liverpool have been linked with Aston Villa defender Jordan Amavi. James Milner has been playing as the makeshift left back as Alberto Moreno has failed to impress. Klopp wants to add a proper left back and Amavi fits the bill perfectly.
He arrived from Nice in 2015 but Villa got relegated this season. He was one of the few players to have left a mark in a very disastrous season. He has established himself as a regular starter under new boss Steve Bruce and has been gradually improving with each passing day.
Villa was languishing at the bottom half but after a number of spirited performances they are now only six points adrift of a playoff berth.
Marseille are also reportedly interested in the defender. Marseille Sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta has made Amavi a priority target in January and the French club is reportedly in regular contact with the player’s representatives.
But the player recently revealed that he doesn’t want to leave Villa for Marseille.
With Amavi seeing his future in England Liverpool could be his possible destination.
