Real Madrid will clash heads with Celtic at Celtic Park on Wednesday as they look to grab a win early in the UCL group stage. Los Blancos come into the match on the back of a 2-1 victory against Real Betis in La Liga, so the reigning champions will be looking to produce a similar result this mid-week.
Carlo Ancelotti will utilise the 4-3-3 formation once again allowing Rodrygo to start in the right-wing position and Toni Kroos would take his place in the midfield position.
4-3-3 Real Madrid Predicted Line Up Vs Celtic
Defence
Thibaut Courtois will operate in between the sticks for the defending champions after he conceded a goal in his last fixture. David Alaba will form the centre-half partnership alongside Antonio Rudiger at the heart of Ancelotti’s defence as they look to stop the opposition in their tracks.
Dani Carvajal will probably keep his spot at right-back while Ferland Mendy operates on the opposite flank. Both of them will get the freedom to express themselves in the attacking third so that they can offer adequate support to the men up front.
Lucas Vasquez and Eder Militao will offer cover for the backline on the bench.
Midfield
Ancelotti could opt for a midfield three of Toni Kroos, Aurelien Tchouameni and Luka Modric for this away encounter. All three of them will be responsible for dominating the midfield battle and creating enough chances for Los Blancos in front of the goal.
Eduardo Camavinga and Federico Valverde will be available for selection on the bench as they wait for their opportunity to impress in the latter half if needed.
Attack
Vinicius Junior will look to put in an influential display from the left-wing position while Rodrygo hopes to give a good performance from the right-wing.
Karim Benzema will once again spearhead Real Madrid’s attack up top. The French forward has been in great form recently and will look to get his name on the scoresheet.
