Crystal Palace will likely remain a manager-less side when they travel to the Vicarage Road to face a Watford outfit who have been doing well for themselves this year.
Palace became the 2nd club to have sacked a manager in the Premier League this season as Alan Pardew was handed his release papers after a run of 6 wins in 360 days of competitive football, a stat which made the team with the worst record in the top 5 tiers of English football.
Anyhow, it is to be seen whether the Eagles can get back to the job and get someone who can amalgamate the plethora of talent in the squad and put the pieces together. Former England boss Sam Allardyce is the bookmakers’ favourite to take over.
The ex-Sunderland, Newcastle and West Ham boss is among those expected to be considered. Big Sam won’t be messing around with his moves and will be rubbing his hands in delight over inheriting this Palace team.
We can expect some changes to the starting eleven with the likes of Townsend getting more of a chance to nail down a spot. The fans will be expecting a reaction and the players will be looking to perform and get in the good books of whoever is coming in to take the hot seat.
Watford will be tough opponents and given this year’s record will be starting as favourites but one can never rule Palace out.
Here is our Predicted 4-2-3-1 Crystal Palace Lineup Vs Watford.
PREDICTED 4-2-3-1 CRYSTAL PALACE LINEUP VS WATFORD
DEFENCE
Wayne Hennessey will be in goal with Steve Mandanda still out injured. The keeper will look to contribute to a clean sheet which Palace badly need now.
The defence might not see much of a change after a reasonable performance against Chelsea. Martin Kelly, Damien Delaney, Scott Dann and Joel Ward are likely to line up once again. This has been one of the main reasons behind Palace failing to win games.
The defence, along with a fragile defensive midfield, has seen them let go of leads and being outscored time and again.
