It is understood that Giovani Lo Celso is the closest to exiting the Spurs on another loan move to Villareal with an option for the Spanish outfit to buy him after a successful loan spell.
Lo Celso’s Impressive Loan Spell For Villareal Last Season
Lo Celso had a fruitful campaign during his loan spell at Villareal last season as he produced a few influential displays in the central areas of the field. He scored a goal and grabbed an assist appearing in 16 matches in La Liga.
He has caught the eye of Unai Emery after averaging 1.4 tackles, 1.1 shots, 1.1 key passes and 1.6 dribbles per game in the top tier of Spanish football. He has also been tidy with his ball distribution after completing 83.8% of his attempted passes in the Spanish first division (stats via whoscored).

Giovani Lo Celso is a complete midfielder who can press his opponents and doesn’t mind putting his foot into a tackle. Furthermore, he can make some clever passes to set up his teammates on the front foot with some clear-cut goal-scoring opportunities.
The 26-year-old can still perform at a high level with enough room for improving his game over the coming seasons. He has had a successful loan spell under Unai Emery and would adapt to Spanish football with ease.
A move away from North London is beneficial for the Argentina international as Conte has made it prevalent that he doesn’t have plans for him in the next campaign.
