Chelsea faced off against Everton at Goodison Park earlier this evening as they focused on securing a good result on their travels. The Blues dominated possession in the first 45 minutes but struggled to break the home team down. However, they took the lead just before the half-time break courtesy of Jorginho’s successful penalty.
Thomas Tuchel’s men managed the game well in the second half and managed to secure a hard-fought 1-0 win on the road.

He dealt with the danger when needed and made a few important interceptions as well on the defensive third of the pitch.

Koulibaly won his fair share of aerial duels and was a rock at the back. He got replaced in the 74th minute.
RM: Reece James – 7.5/10
James performed his defensive duties well and managed to create a few inviting chances for his teammates.

The French midfielder protected his backline well and was a threat going forward as well.
CM: Jorginho – 7/10
The Italy international kept his composure from the penalty spot to put Chelsea ahead before half-time.
LM: Ben Chilwell – 6/10
He didn’t do much wrong at the back but lacked quality in the final third.
RW: Mason Mount – 6.5/10
Mount caused a few problems for the opposition defenders but didn’t do enough to register a goal.
ST: Raheem Sterling – 7/10
The former Liverpool talent had a few lively moments in the game but failed to find the back of the net.
LW: Kai Havertz – 6.5/10
Havertz was a menace down the left flank but lacked the cutting edge in the final third.
