Antonio Conte will recall Andreas Christensen from his loan spell at Borussia Monchengladbach. Christensen has been with the German club for the last 18 months and has made significant progress as a defender.
He helped the club to finish in fourth position last season securing a Champions League spot. Antonio Conte has failed to sign some major players including Leonardo Bonucci and Kalidou Koulibaly this summer and went on to resign David Luiz from PSG and also enticed Marcos Alonso from Florentina.
Chelsea have been defensively very tight this season as they have conceded the least number of goals (11) this season.
Cesar Azpilicueta, Gary Cahill and David Luiz has been a revelation in the Blues defence this season as the West Londoners kept six consecutive clean sheets before conceding against Spurs.
Christensen’s two-year loan spell is set to expire at the end of this season. John Terry and Branislav Ivanovic’s haven’t been offered a new contract and are expected to leave in the summer.
Conte is very keen to fill the void and is ready to bring the Danish defender to Stamford Bridge.
