The 28-year-old was a solid performer at the centre of Real Betis’ midfield after he put in a series of dominant performances in the previous campaign. The Argentine midfield enforcer performed well to average 3.0 tackles, 1.0 interceptions, 1.6 clearances, 0.7 and 0.6 dribbles per 90 minutes in La Liga. Rodriguez has even been accurate when distributing possession from midfield as he completed 85.5% of his attempted passes in the Spanish first division (stats via whoscored).
