Chelsea are planning to reward Diego Costa with a brand new deal to keep the player for a longer period at the club. Costa has been magnificent this season and his 13th goal against West Bromwich Albion ensured the Blues maintained their lead at the top.
The 28-year old has already surpassed his last season tally of 12 goals and is currently the top scorer of the Premier league.
The Spaniard has a contract till 2019 and is currently on £150,000 a week. But Chelsea are ready to give a bumper pay rise in the range of £200,000 who has been a revelation this season.
There has been speculation regarding his future after a very ordinary last season. Chelsea finished a dismal 10th position last term but have bounced back in this season.
Chelsea relied heavily on him this season but will have to play the next match without him as the player is suspended for getting five yellow cards.
