In a recent report, Calciomercato stated that West Ham United are in the running to land Club Brugge winger Noa Lang. It has been claimed that the Hammers could face competition in the form of AC Milan and Leeds United in pursuit of the Dutch wide player.
Lang’s Impressive Form At The Jan Breydel Stadium
Lang has enjoyed a fruitful season in Belgian football as he has produced a series of influential displays on the left side of Club Brugge’s attack. The Dutch wing wizard has registered nine goals and 15 assists in 48 matches for the Belgian outfit during this campaign across all competitions.
The 22-year-old has performed well to average 2.0 shots, 1.9 key passes and 1.8 dribbles per game in the Jupiler Pro League. He has even distributed the ball relatively well after making 78.5% of his attempted passes in the Belgian top tier (stats via whoscored).
Is Lang A Good Option For West Ham United Boss David Moyes?
Lang can make some good runs with the ball out on the flanks and has got the eye to play a decisive pass in the attacking third of the pitch. The Dutch sensation has even netted a few important goals for his team this season, so we can expect his numbers to only get better with each year. He is primarily a left-sided wide player but can even fill in as a right-winger if required.
The Hammers can definitely use someone of Lang’s quality and potential to help them compete across all competitions in the upcoming campaign. He is good enough to offer some healthy competition for the likes of Said Benrahma, Jarrod Bowen and Pablo Fornals in the race to earn a regular starting spot at the London Stadium in the coming seasons.
At 22, the future is quite bright for Lang which makes him a decent, long-term option for West Ham boss David Moyes to pursue during this summer transfer period.
