In a recent report, Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that Chelsea are in the running to land Adrien Rabiot from Juventus. It is believed that the French midfield ace could be sold for €20-30m this summer which doesn’t scare the Blues.
Rabiot’s Decent Run Of Form In Italian Football
The 27-year-old is having a solid campaign at the Allianz Stadium after producing a few impressive displays at the heart of Juve’s midfield. Rabiot has featured in 45 matches for the Turin giants this season, picking up a couple of assists and seven yellow cards on all fronts.
The talented midfielder has been a consistent performer for Juve as he is averaging 2.0 tackles, 0.6 interceptions, 1.0 clearances, 0.8 shots, 0.7 key passes and 1.4 dribbles per 90 minutes in Serie A. He has even been tidy with his ball distribution based on his pass completion rate of 83.3% in league football (stats via whoscored).

Is Rabiot A Good Choice For Chelsea Head Coach Thomas Tuchel?
Rabiot can get stuck in with some solid tackles and doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when his teammates are in danger of getting caught out at the back. He can make a few crucial interceptions for his side and is proficient at making a handful of clever runs with the ball from midfield. The French sensation is an accurate passer as well but needs to find a way to be more productive in the final third.
A midfielder of Rabiot’s quality will no doubt be a decent choice for the Blues to consider this summer. We can expect him to inject more quality into Thomas Tuchel‘s midfield department and increase competition for places within his squad.
At 27, Rabiot is enjoying the peak stage of his career at the moment, so he is well-equipped to make an immediate impact at Stamford Bridge if the West London outfit can find a way to get him on board in this off-season.
