Pickford’s Up And Down Season At Merseyside So Far

Pickford is having a tough campaign at Goodison Park but has done well to produce some influential displays while acting as Everton’s primary keeper. The England international has been involved in 33 matches, shipping in 57 goals while earning six clean sheets across various competitions.

The 28-year-old deserves credit for averaging 1.0 clearances and 7.5 long balls per 90 minutes in the Premier League. Pickford has often gone long when distributing the ball from the back which could be why he has only completed 48.4% of his attempted passes in the English first division (stats via whoscored).

The Toffees boss Frank Lampard would be better off cashing in on Pickford, especially if he can steer the Merseyside club away from relegation in the coming weeks.
