In a recent report, Turkiye Gazatesi mentioned that Tottenham Hotspur have launched an €8m move for Besiktas left-back Ridvan Yilmaz. It is believed that Spurs are eyeing a move for the Turkish youngster this summer.
Yilmaz’s Impressive Run Of Form In Turkish Football
Yilmaz is having a decent campaign at the Vodafone Park Arena after producing a handful of impressive displays on the left side of Besiktas’ defence. The 20-year-old has found the back of the net on three occasions and provided four assists in 31 matches across all fronts.
The Istanbul-born talent has given a good account of himself by averaging 1.7 tackles, 1.3 interceptions, 1.2 clearances, 0.8 shots, 0.8 key passes and 1.2 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Turkish Super Lig. He has even been tidy when distributing the ball from the left wing, as evidenced by his pass success rate of 75.7% in the top tier of Turkish football (stats via whoscored).

Yilmaz can use his quickness and agility to make a few impressive runs with the ball down the left flank. He has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates up top and can even chip in by scoring the odd goal from time to time.
The Turkish sensation has established himself as a solid defender at the back as he is often quick to sense the danger inside his half.
A left-back of Yilmaz’s potential will be a welcome addition to Spurs boss Antonio Conte‘s squad. He will undoubtedly add some healthy competition for Ben Davies and Ryan Sessegnon for a regular starting spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next season.
