In a recent report, The Daily Mail mentioned that Manchester City are set to rival Manchester United for West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice. It is understood that the Mancunian giants are ready to join the race to land the English midfield ace this summer.

Rice has enjoyed a solid campaign at the London Stadium as he has put in a series of influential performances at the heart of David Moyes’ midfield. The 23-year-old has been involved in 44 matches for West Ham this season in multiple competitions.
The London-born talent deserves a lot of credit for averaging 2.1 tackles, 1.7 interceptions, 1.2 clearances, 0.7 shots, 0.8 key passes and 1.4 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He has even been accurate when distributing possession from midfield after making 91.6% of his attempted passes in the English first division (stats via whoscored).

Rice is a solid tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to make a few important interceptions at the back. He usually clears the danger when needed and can offer decent protection for his teammates at the back.
