Liverpool entertained Manchester United at Old Trafford earlier tonight as they looked to earn all three points at home. The Reds made an electric start to the game and got their noses ahead in the fifth minute courtesy of Luis Diaz’s goal. Mohamed Salah doubled Liverpool’s lead in the 22nd minute with an excellent touch and finish. The Merseyside outfit went into the half-time break 2-0 to the good.
The Reds made a slow start to the second half but managed to net another goal in the 68th minute when Sadio Mane found the back of the net with a great finish. Salah ended up putting the icing on the cake by scoring another goal in the 85th minute as the match finished 4-0 in favour of Liverpool.

GK: Alisson Becker – 8/10
The Brazilian keeper was brilliant with the ball at his feet and had to make one routine save during the game.
RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold – 8/10
His delivery from corners was excellent throughout the match. He was solid at the back as well.
CB: Virgil Van Dijk – 8/10
The Dutch defensive ace didn’t put a foot wrong in the game and managed to keep Marcus Rashford quiet tonight.
CB: Joel Matip – 7.5/10
He kept things tidy at the back and was good on the ball as well.

LB: Andrew Robertson – 8/10
The Scottish full-back made a few energetic runs with the ball and was a constant threat down the left flank.
CM: Jordan Henderson – 7/10
He was full of energy and running in midfield. Henderson controlled the game well, especially in the first half.
CM: Fabinho – 7.5/10
He was first to most loose balls at the centre of the park and was lively with the ball at his feet.
CM: Thiago Alcantara – 9/10
The Spaniard dominated the game with his passing and dribbling. He produced a midfield masterclass at Anfield tonight.
RW: Mohamed Salah – 9/10
Salah returned to form by scoring two goals and picking up one assist during his time on the field.
ST: Sadio Mane – 9/10
The Senegalese attacker was unstoppable in the first half and set up Salah’s first goal with a terrific pass. He got his name on the scoresheet in the 68th minute.
LW: Luis Diaz – 8.5/10
Diaz caused all kinds of problems for the opposition with his link-up play and dribbling. He gave Liverpool an early lead with a controlled finish.

He made a couple of dangerous runs with the ball.
CM: Naby Keita – 6/10
Keita added some energy to Jurgen Klopp’s midfield.

He hardly got enough minutes to warrant a rating.
