Perisic’s Decent Form At San Siro This Season
Perisic is experiencing a solid season in Italian football after putting in a series of productive performances on the left side of Inter’s attack. The 33-year-old has banged in five goals and grabbed six assists in 40 matches for the Italian outfit during this campaign across all fronts.
The former Bayern Munich wing wizard has made an impact at both ends of the field based on his average of 1.2 tackles, 1.4 interceptions, 0.9 clearances, 1.2 shots, 1.2 key passes, 1.1 dribbles and 0.7 dribbles per 90 minutes in Serie A. However, he needs to work on improving his ball distribution after completing 75.3% of his attempted passes in top-flight football (stats via whoscored).
Is Perisic A Good Fit For Tottenham Hotspur?
Perisic is hard-working winger who doesn’t mind putting in a good shift on the defensive end of the field. He remains a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can deliver a few dangerous crosses into the opponent’s penalty box.
The Croatia international can even contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals in the final third. However, at 33, Perisic has only got a handful of years left in him to play at a high level, so he will only serve as a good, short-term fit for Spurs this summer. We can expect the Croat wide player to add some added firepower to Antonio Conte‘s attack.
The Split-born sensation is good enough to offer some decent competition for Heung-min Son for a regular starting spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. With all things considered, Perisic will be a decent signing for the North London giants if they can find a way to get a deal done for him in this off-season.
