Carvalho’s Impressive Numbers At Craven Cottage This Season
The 19-year-old is having a productive season in the EFL Championship after establishing himself as a key attacker in Fulham’s starting XI. Carvalho has registered eight goals and seven assists in 32 appearances for the Cottagers during this campaign on all fronts.
The talented teenager has been a consistent performer in the final third based on his average of 1.1 tackles, 2.0 shots, 1.8 key passes and 1.2 dribbles per 90 minutes in the English Championship. He has even taken care of possession when distributing the ball in the opponent’s half, as evidenced by his pass success rate of 81.8% in the second tier of English football (stats via whoscored).
Is Carvalho A Good Choice For Liverpool?
Carvalho can retain possession really well in the opposition half and has got the vision to create some inviting chances for others around him. He has transformed himself into a decent finisher in front of the opponent’s goal.
The Portuguese sensation is also an exciting dribbler with the ball at his feet and doesn’t shy away from making a tackle when defending at the back. He is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also operate as a box-to-box midfielder if needed.
A youngster of Carvalho’s skill set and potential will no doubt be an excellent addition to Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp‘s squad ahead of the new campaign. We can expect the Fulham whizkid to add more goals and creativity to the Merseyside club‘s attack.
Klopp could be the ideal man to get the best out of Carvalho at Anfield in the coming seasons. Hence, he will be a great choice for the Reds this summer as long as the player works hard to maintain his good form in the Premier League over the next few years.
