Barcelona faced off against Eintracht Frankfurt at the Deutsche Bank Park earlier tonight as they looked to earn a good result in Germany. Both sides fought tooth and nail in the first half as they went into the half-time break with a goalless scoreline.
Just three minutes into the second half, Ansgar Knauff scored a brilliant goal in the half-volley to put Frankfurt ahead on the night. However, Ferran Torres equalised for Barca with a good finish in the 66th minute. The Catalan outfit found themselves at a numerical advantage as Tuta was sent off in the 78th minute. However, Xavi’s men failed to net an winner and had to settle for a 1-1 draw on the road.

The German keeper made a couple of solid saves during the game but couldn’t do much about Knauff’s stunning strike early in the second half.

He earned the ball back a couple of times but offered very little going forward.
CB: Gerard Pique – 6.5/10
The Spaniard made an important clearance early in the game but had to go off in the 22nd minute with an injury.
CB: Eric Garcia – 7/10
Garcia was a rock at the back as he sensed the danger quickly and cleared his lines when needed.
LB: Jordi Alba – 6.5/10
He was mostly solid when defending inside his half and made one good run down the left-wing.
CM: Pedri – 7/10
The Spaniard anchored the midfield well and engineered two decent chances in the final third.
CM: Sergio Busquets – 7/10
The Spanish talent protected his backline really well and made one inviting opportunity in the opposition half.
CM: Gavi – 7/10
He did his fair share of defending and was always willing to run with the ball.
RW: Adama Traore – 7.5/10
Traore completed plenty of dangerous dribbles in the attacking end of the field. However, he didn’t get a sniff at goal.
ST: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – 6/10
He offered very little in the final third and never looked like he would score.
LW: Ferran Torres – 7.5/10
Torres scored the all-important equaliser for Barca and even made some intelligent runs with the ball.

Lenglet secured the ball back a few times for his team.

He added some energy to Xavi’s midfield and has got an assist to show for his efforts.

Dembele had a few bright moments in the Frankfurt half.
