Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Simon Mignolet will be in the goal against Everton.
The Belgian replaced Loris Karius between the sticks and did a commendable job at the goal against Middlesbrough. Klopp decided to start him ahead of Loris Karius as the latter made a series of errors in the last two matches.
Klopp said, “I don’t want to change now each week. Simon had a really good game. It was about not pushing Loris through the situation.

“I am responsible for the boys. Sometimes it’s my job to take them out of the firing line or public view. I decided for a player, not against another one.”
The Reds boss also confirmed that Joel Matip is very doubtful to start against Everton. The Cameroon international has been struggling with an ankle injury in recent days. Although he played against West Ham United but had to sit out against Middlesbrough.
Klopp said, “We haven’t made a decision. It’s a bit of a painful ankle. We have to see whether to try him for Everton or give him few more days.”
