Conte To Make Minimum Changes | 3-4-3 Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineup Vs Newcastle United

Tottenham Hotspur will lock horns with Newcastle United on Sunday evening, hoping to pick up all three points on their home turf. The Magpies will be coming into the match on the back of a disappointing 1-0 loss to Everton, whereas the Lilywhites recorded an encouraging 3-1 victory over West Ham United on March 20.

Team News

Ryan Sessegnon (muscle) and Oliver Skipp (groin) remain sidelined for the upcoming fixture, whereas Ben Davies is available after missing Wales’ friendly match with the Czech Republic on Tuesday.

“The good news is that Skippy and Sessegnon are very close to being back with the team, to having training sessions with us. They are not yet ready for the game against Newcastle, but they are improving.”Antonio Conte revealed.

“Ben is okay. He had a little problem, but he’s available.”

Conte will probably opt for the 4-3-3 formation against the Magpies; however, he might keep changes to a minimum for the weekend clash.

Defence

Hugo Lloris will operate between the sticks for the upcoming fixture. The France shot-stopper will hope to put up a strong performance and secure a clean sheet on Sunday.

Cristian Romero will form the centre-half partnership with Eric Dier and Ben Davies at the heart of Spurs’ backline.

Sergio Reguilon should start at the left-back position, whereas Matt Doherty will fill in on the other flank as the right-back. The full-backs will be expected to stay compact and keep their shape defensively.

Midfield

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg might start in the holding midfield position and could be assigned with more of a defensive role to shield the home side’s back-four.

Rodrigo Bentancur will slot into the central midfield role, determined to set up some clear-cut goal scoring chances for the front men.

Attack

Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski will take up the wide positions, playing on the left and right-wing, respectively.

Harry Kane will lead the line for Tottenham Hotspur this weekend. The England international will be hoping to get his name on the scoresheet when he faces off against the Newcastle defence that has conceded four goals in their last five Premier League matches.

Lucas Moura could come off the bench to make a cameo appearance in the second forty-five minutes of the match if needed.
