Antonio Conte has admitted that Thibaut Courtois is ranked among the best goalkeepers in the world right now. The Belgian had a tough season last time but has been immense this season, just like the rest of the defence.
Chelsea overcame a stubborn Crystal Palace side in their last game but it was the game before that won Courtois a lot of plaudits/ Sunderland tested the Belgian and he came up with all the answers to deny the likes of Defoe and Van Aanholt.
The 24-year-old had consecutive six clean sheets in the ongoing season before conceding a goal to Tottenham Hotspur which they eventually won. Chelsea are now on an 11-match unbeaten run and could break Arsenal’s 14-match winning streak.
Conte said, “For Thibaut it’s more difficult because for the whole game you wait and you could lose concentration but he is a fantastic goalkeeper.
“One of the best in the world, if not the best, and I’m pleased to have him in my team.”
