Everton faced off against Boreham Wood at Goodison Park earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a positive result at home. The Toffees were dominant in the first half but failed to be clinical in the final third as they went into the half-time break with a goalless scoreline.
Salomon Rondon finally broke the deadlock in the 57th minute. The South American sensation went on to score again in the 84th minute with a good header that killed the game off for Everton. The contest ended with the Toffees earning a 2-0 victory at Merseyside.

The Brazilian talent anchored the midfield with conviction and made two good chances in the final third.
CM: Abdoulaye Doucoure – 7.5/10
Doucoure was always looking to get forward and managed to create some decent openings for others around him.
LM: Vitaliy Mykolenko – 7/10
The Ukrainian sensation performed his defensive duties well and was quite lively in the opponent’s half.
RW: Andros Townsend – 7/10
Townsend caused a few problems for the Boreham defenders and ended the game with an assist to his name.
ST: Salomon Rondon – 9/10
Rondon scored two important goals in the second half which ended up keeping Everton’s FA Cup dreams alive.

He was a constant menace in front of the opponent’s goal but didn’t do enough to find the back of the net himself.
