Newcastle United clashed heads with Brentford at the Brentford Community Stadium earlier today as they hoped to earn maximum points on the road. The Magpies made a good start to the game and found themselves at a numerical advantage in the 11th minute when Josh Dasilva was sent off by the referee. The Tyneside outfit got their noses ahead in the 33rd minute when Joelinton scored with a powerful header. Joe Willock doubled Newcastle’s advantage just 11 minutes later with a good strike as the Magpies went into the half-time interval 2-0 to the good.

The Magpies sat on their lead well in the second half and earned an impressive 2-0 win on their travels.
