In a recent report, journalist Ekrem Konur stated that Manchester City are set to rival Liverpool for West Ham United winger Jarrod Bowen. It has been claimed that the Mancunian giants are showing interest in recruiting the English wide player in the summer.
Bowen’s Impressive Form At The London Stadium
Bowen is having a brilliant campaign at East London as he has been responsible for performing at a high level on the right side of David Moyes’ attack. The 25-year-old has registered 12 goals and 11 assists in 36 matches for the Hammers this season across various competitions.
The Leominster-born talent has enjoyed a rich vein of form for West Ham in the attacking end of the field based on his average of 1.2 tackles, 2.4 shots, 1.2 key passes and 1.7 dribbles per game in the Premier League. However, he has been a bit sloppy when distributing the ball in the final third after completing 75.8% of his attempted passes in the English top-flight (stats via whoscored).

Is Bowen Be A Good Fit For Manchester City?
Bowen is a quick and agile winger who can complete a few dangerous dribbles out on the wide areas. He excels at generating space for himself to get a few shots in at goal. The English speedster has added plenty of goals and assists to his game this season. Bowen is primarily a right-sided wide player but can even fill in as a centre-forward or on the left-wing if required. He can even whip in some inviting crosses into the opponent’s penalty box.
Man City boss Pep Guardiola can definitely use someone of Bowen’s attributes to boost his attack next season. The English talent will inject a lot of pace and goals to the Mancunian club‘s attack and has what it takes to become a success story at the Etihad Stadium.
All in all, Bowen would be a great fit for Man City if they can find a way to win the race for his services at the end of this campaign. The West Ham star could even serve as a decent replacement for Ferran Torres who joined Barcelona back in January.
